Credit Builder Credit Card
Having no credit doesn’t mean you have bad credit and TruWest takes that into account with the Credit Builder Credit Card. You can build a good credit history over time, but starting your credit off strong is just as important as maintaining that good history throughout your life.

TruWest’s Credit Builder Credit Card provides more than the average credit card; we help you build your credit by providing you with a low interest rate and the opportunity to increase the credit limit on your Credit Builder Credit Card by completing an online financial education course designed to help you.

How it works:
  1. Apply for the Credit Builder Credit Card and get approved*.
  2. After six months, you may request to have your credit limit increased by completing our financial education course and submitting a written request to TruWest along with a copy of your course results that will be emailed to you upon completion of the class. You also have the option to email your test results to youngadult@truwest.org and include a message requesting a credit limit increase. Click here to begin taking the Credit Module.
  3. You are now eligible to have your request reviewed.
* Credit Union approval required.
