Overdraft Protection

Give yourself added peace of mind.

Make sure your overdrafts are covered by connecting your checking account to your Share Savings, Visa® Credit Card or Personal Credit Line. TruWest will use up to $50 from a connected account to pay your overdrafts, for a $2 fee per transaction.

Get started today by calling 1 (855) 878-9378.

No funds, no fee.

As it should be.

Maybe overdraft coverage isn’t for you, and that’s okay. If you are currently covered by TruCourtesy Pay Standard and would like to opt out, simply call 1 (855) 878-9378. TruWest® won’t charge you a non-sufficient funds (NSF) fee if your payment is returned for lack of available funds in your account.

See our Rate and Fee Schedule for complete consumer fee details.

  • What is the difference between TruCourtesy Pay, Overdraft Protection and NSF?

TruCourtesy Pay and Overdraft Protection are optional services that allow you to overdraw your account if needed. With TruCourtesy Pay, we cover your overdraft for a small fee. With Overdraft Protection, your overdraft is covered with funds from one of your other accounts or lines of credit, also for a fee. If you have neither of these coverages, your payment will be returned for non-sufficient funds (NSF), and no fee will be charged.

  • What are the benefits of TruCourtesy Pay and Overdraft Protection?

Our overdraft coverage options can help you to complete crucial transactions or payments and avoid fees normally charged by merchants for items returned to them.

  • How do I add/remove TruCourtesy Pay?

New checking accounts that are found eligible are automatically opted in to Standard TruCourtesy Pay coverage for checks, ACH pre-authorized debits and online bill payments. You can add Everyday Debit coverage or opt out at any time by calling 1 (855) 878-9378.

  • How much does TruCourtesy Pay cost?

Our standard overdraft paid fee is $15 for each negative item we pay. The overdraft fee is waived if the total negative balance is below $20. For consumer accounts, we will only charge up to two TruCourtesy Pay fees per day.

  • How do I add/remove Overdraft Protection?

Overdraft Protection can be added to or removed from your account by calling 1 (855) 878-9378.
