Local Credit Union Provides Loan Assistance, a $10,000 Central Texas Food Bank Donation and Employee assistance to Aid Relief

AUSTIN, TEXASTruWest Credit Union is aiding in the relief of Texas families after the devastating winter storms by making loan assistance and low-interest rate loan programs available, as well as providing a donation of $10,000 to the Central Texas Food Bank. For its employees, TruWest is providing additional paid time off, extra pay and care packages.

“The physical and financial wellbeing of our members and staff is our first priority,” said President and CEO of TruWest Credit Union, Alan Althouse. “This year has been challenging enough for so many members of our community and we want to continue to do everything in our power to help others through these hardships.”

The $10,000 donation to Central Texas Food Bank will help ensure that hardworking families can make ends meet. The food bank has been providing meals to over 46,000 people each week.

Loan assistance, including fee free “skip” loan payments and no-fee low-interest loan programs allow individuals the flexibility and opportunity to financially support themselves through this challenging time.
