TruWest® Credit Union Continues Team Effort with Fisher House Foundation

TruWest continues tradition of helping raise money for military families in honor of Veterans Day

Starting on November 6, TruWest will begin collecting tax-deductible donations both online by debit or credit card and by cash or check at all of its branches.

Since its inception in 1990, Fisher House Foundation has provided a “home away from home” for families of patients receiving medical care at major military and veterans’ affairs medical centers. The foundation supports families by providing no-charge lodging within close proximity to the medical centers. The Fisher House Foundation has been noted as one of the most credible and reputable charities for military affairs in America and continually holds a 4-star rating on Charity Navigator for its accountability, transparency and financial performance.

“We are incredibly thankful to continue our tradition of partnering with such a fantastic organization like Fisher House,” stated TruWest Credit Union President and CEO Alan Althouse. “They provide such a great service to our veterans, military personnel and their families.”

In its 27 years of existence, Fisher House Foundation has successfully supported the families of those who serve our country by maintaining 72 houses located throughout the nation. The organization has served more than 305,000 families while saving them over $360 million in expenses.
